I recently got married to a person with a lower FICO score than I do. If I add him to one of my credit cards as an additional user, would this lower my FICO score?
Anyone who says otherwise simply doe’s not know what they are talking about.
If you add your future spouse as a co-signer or a joint signer it will be better since the way that credit scores are calculated is going to change in September and not give additional points to authorized users.
No it shouldn’t lower the score it will show up on his credit report a he had the credit card as long as you have a it will improve his fico if the card has never been delinquent

No, it won’t affect your score. The account is still in your name and the other person is simply an authorized user of your account.
Yes, it can. It’s like a “cosigner”. They don’t like you adding anyone. Unless a joint acct. Shows bad credit decisions.
Probably. Nobody wants to take a chance.
No it will not effect your score at all.

If you add him to yours, your fine. If he adds you to his, you will be lowered. Simple.

YOUR SPOUSE IS NOT A FICO SCORE. If you thought of me this way I would leave you.
This credit thing is utter nonsense.
Why don’t you marry your credit score!
