I recently got married to a person with a lower FICO score than I do. If I add him to one of my credit cards as an additional user, would this lower my FICO score?

I was thinking of applying for a store credit card, and I checked my credit on all 3 of the major credit reporting agencies. All of them are different with one being 50 points lower than the highest one. Do they go by the best score, or do they average out the 3 together to get a final FICO score for determination of the credit card?

I had never had any credit for about 23 years until i got a credit card. I started to buy things with the card and after a while in about 2 months I maxed out the card. The card was a Plantium Capital One credit card with about an 21.99% APR. Anyway after I maxed it out I started to pay on it but I was over the limit for about 3-5 months I think. It took me about a year and an half to completely pay it off. I did cut up the card and got rid of it asap. The last time/first time that I heard of my credit score was somewhere in above the 600 mark. Tonight (2-27-07) I wanted to check on it because of recent attempts (by me) to get finiching (bad spelling, sorry) for a particular item either by the web or the local area.

    Please help, me?

I wanted to get information on what your credit report looks like after filing ch 7 bk. Does it still list all your accounts with the balances just with discharged on each, or is your credit report blank with just the bk on it?

I have paid down some balances already for some time but the changes are not appearing on my credit report. I’m not pulling up my credit however, I have alerts when my scores go up or down or if there’s inquiries etc. Do I have to ask them to report the change in balance? Why is it that when you rack up a ton of charges they report them really fast but when they’re paid off, they take forever? Is there a way to “speed up” the process?
I have paid them down but plan to keep the balances they have now (which are very low) instead of making more charges. Would writing to the credit card company make any difference?

There are a few items which have been reaged by a collections agency and they cannot do that. The SOL has passed and they should be removed from my credit report. Also, when you view your credit report where is the “date of last activity”? All I see is the open date and last reported date. The last reported date can’t possibly be the date to go by because then the companies can stay on your credit report forever. I have never had problems about stuff dropping off before but Capital One refuses to drop off and the three different collection agencies (for one card mind you) keep reporting a new date opened. This is ridiculous. How can I get them off? It has been 8 years now and they are still on there.
